This application offers the following features : - Opening all files without a corresponding Android application (1). - Display of the file in hexadecimal (or plain text) with the possibility to modify the content (in hexadecimal only). - Saving the file on the smartphone/tablet (2). - Search option in the open file (hexadecimal and plain text modes). (1) At first, the file can only be saved via "save as" and due to Android permissions reasons, the only way to make it appear in the list of recent files is to reopen it. (2) Due to file permissions, after a "save as", the list of recent files cannot be updated with the new file location. Caution: Opening files that are too large seriously degrades application performance and can suddenly stop the application on low-resource devices. **WARNING:** This application cannot open files larger than ~20 MB on recent smartphones and less for older smartphones. **WARNING:** Searching within the plain text view may become excessively slow when handling large files. Hexpress is a collection of musical instruments for your phone. You can use it for learning, playing and composing music whenever you have the time - on train, while waiting in line and during boring meetings. Using headphones is strongly recommended for louder and better sound quality, and to not disturb others around you. The application has simple, colorful and clean interface designed to be accessible to young children.While each instrument behaves differently in some way, in general notes are played by touching shapes on the screen, and sound is shaped by tilting the phone left-right and up-down. Different instruments have different effect controls - fade in, reverb, wah, tremolo…Most of Hexpress instruments have unusual honeycomb note arrangement that’s sometimes called "harmonic table note layout". Since app hides all other apps when screen turns off, hiding itself leads to hiding entire profile from launcher. HideDroid allows the per-app anonymization of collected personal data according to a privacy level chosen by the user.In a nutshell, HideDroid collects all the network traffic generated by the invocation of API calls belonging to analytics libraries, and extract the exported data. Then, it anonymizes the personal and device data using a generalization technique, and the data related to the user’s behavior using an approach based on the concept of local differential privacy, in a way that preserves as much data semantics as possible. Finally, the anonymized data are sent to the expected recipients by mimicking the original network calls.

Hikar is an augmented reality app for Android (4.2+) which overlays footpaths from OpenStreetMap on the device's camera feed and shows virtual signposts. Its aim is to help navigation for walkers/hikers (hence the name) and other outdoor users. For example, imagine you are entering a large field and it's not clear where the exit is. Hikar will overlay the course of the footpath on your phone's camera feed helping you to navigate across the field. Or, you're at a junction of paths and it's not clear which is the correct way. Hikar will show a virtual signpost, showing the direction and distance of nearby points of interest such as villages, hills, mountains or pubs. Or, you're having to make your way across a pathless moor. Again, Hikar will help you find the way. Hikar covers the whole of Europe, plus Turkey. It could potentially work in any area which uses Roman, Greek or Cyrillic characters, but the Hikar server (also FLOSS software: see gitlab.com/nickw1/freemap-api) currently only contains data for the specified areas. Note that Hikar is a research project and therefore, while perfectly usable for navigation it is not a 'polished' app with a really nice UI and, like many AR apps, can use a lot of battery power. Please note, that for a currently-unknown reason, Hikar will not run on the Amazon Fire HD 10 (and possibly other Amazon Fire devices).
